Part one emphasized the importance of defining clear objectives. This is the destination you want for your business. We related it to choosing the location for my business trip. The second step will be creating a plan. This will be your guide as you strive toward your goal.

 

 

I did lots of research on how I would reach my destination. I first considered my current address, which is Cebu. I planned the schedule of my trip then checked for available flights. Unfortunately, Cebu does not offer a direct flight to Cleveland. I needed to make some adjustments. I searched for another itinerary to ensure that I can arrive at my destination on time.

 

 

Planning is also a major factor in business. If you started your company with a clear purpose by answering the question: where is it going? Now, it’s time to outline “how” to arrive at your destination.

 

 

Before you write your business plan, define your competitive edge. This is your Unique Selling Proposition (USP). Pinpoint the unique benefit of your business that will make it stand out from the rest. What makes your firm different from the others? Your USP will be the crucial detail that aids your business plan. Entrepreneurs must consider their company’s uniqueness. In this way, you’ll establish your plan with certainty.

 

 

I mentioned a new route because of the absence of direct flight. I was able to target and solve this problem directly. It was because I planned beforehand on how I could arrive at my destination.

 

 

Business goals without the accompaniment of plans will certainly get you lost. “What if this or that happens? This roadmap will serve as your guide to get yourself organized during the journey. It will help you identify and settle potential roadblocks (problems and challenges) immediately. This is how I was able to make adjustments on my business trip.

 

 

My accounting firm started with a plan or a blueprint. Now, it produces real-life results. It’s because I am on the right track. The business plan set me in the right direction.

 

 

Start your success with a clear objective in mind. Use this to create a strategic plan. Then proceed to the next step: Action.
